Equipment
The turbine engine helicopter’s reputation for reliability began not because it was unusually reliable, but because the early helicopter reciprocating engines were relatively unreliable. In 1977 Frank Robinson began Robinson Helicopter Company to design, build, and produce an inexpensive and low operating cost helicopter for utilization for medium and light duty commercial operations and personal use.
Today, Robinson Helicopter Company has produced and sold more helicopters each year than any other US or foreign commercial helicopter manufacture. Their dedication to safety, reliability, flexibility and affordable acquisition and operating costs has vaulted them to the top of the industry. The Robinson R44 has become the world’s most popular and best selling helicopter in the world, and the R22 has become the most popular ab-initio training and basic duty helicopter in the market.
Vertical Services Integration, LLC has chosen to primarily operate the Robinson R44 Raven II and R22 Beta II helicopters for reasons of unsurpassed safety, reliability, and operational affordability. NTSB statistics prove that Robinson helicopters experience a mere fraction of the accidents from engine and structural failure than any other existing helicopter in use today. The utilization of these piston helicopters with an industry-leading record of safety and reliability, but at a fraction of the costs of comparable turbine engine helicopters, allows for cost efficient and affordable use by corporations and municipalities of any size, as well as individuals and civic groups.
